Terms
27 October 2026 · linkz.io
Who we are
linkz.io is a trading name of Ian Sharpe, a sole trader based in England ("we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@linkz.io. These terms cover the waiting list: claiming a name and holding a founding place. They don't cover using linkz.io itself; you'll agree to separate terms when you open your account.
Claiming a name
- Claiming a name is free and doesn't commit you to anything.
- A name is 3 to 30 characters: lower-case letters, numbers and hyphens, with no hyphen at the start or end.
- An unconfirmed name is held for 48 hours. Click the link in the confirmation email to keep it.
- A confirmed name is held for you until you open your account. We'll email you when your page is ready to set up; if you haven't opened your account six months after that email, the name is released.
- We may refuse or withdraw a name that is offensive, pretends to be someone else, uses someone else's trade mark, or that another business has a clearly better claim to. If we do, we'll tell you why by email and help you choose another.
- A name isn't property and can't be sold or transferred. We may limit how many names one person holds.
Founding members
- The first 500 people to confirm a name become founding members, numbered in the order they confirmed. Your confirmation page and email tell you your number.
- A founding member pays the founding price for Pro, as shown on our pricing page in your currency on the day you confirmed, for as long as your Pro subscription continues without a break. To get it, start your Pro subscription within 90 days of the day paid plans open; we'll email you that day. If you cancel or move to the free plan, the founding price ends, and a later subscription pays the price of the day.
- A founding place belongs to the person who confirmed it and can't be sold or transferred.
What we don't promise
We're building linkz.io now and we'll open it as soon as it's ready, but we don't promise a date or that every feature on this site will be there on day one. We may change or close the waiting list. If we close it without opening linkz.io, we'll tell you and delete the list.
Taking yourself off
Every email we send has a link that takes you off the list straight away and releases your name. You can also write to hello@linkz.io.
The legal part
The waiting list is free. We're responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to take reasonable care, and nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't let us limit. If you're signing up as a consumer rather than for a business, nothing here affects your statutory rights.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to its courts. If you're a consumer living in Scotland, Northern Ireland or Ireland, you can also use your local courts.
How we look after your data is in our Privacy notice.
