Closing your account

What happens when you close, and how to leave a forwarding link for your codes.

Every plan

  1. Open Settings and choose Close my account.
  2. If you’d like your printed codes to send people somewhere, add it under Link for printed codes to send people to (optional).
  3. Type your linkz.io name (the part after linkz.io/) to confirm, then choose Close my account.

What happens next:

  • Your page comes down at once.
  • Everything about you is deleted within 30 days.
  • Printed codes keep working. They show a page saying you’ve moved on, with your forwarding link if you left one.
  • Your name, linkz.io/yourname, is held unused for twelve months, so nobody lands on a stranger’s page. After that it’s free again.
